More than 50 HealthLine Systems' Clients Ranked "America's Best Hospitals" U.S News and World Report's 2007 Best Hospital Rankings and "Honor Roll" List Released

July 20, 2007, San Diego, CA- Four of the top 17 hospitals listed in the 2007 U.S. News and World Report's "Honor Roll" use one or more software systems developed by HealthLine Systems. Of the top 173 medical centers ranked in this year's "America's Best Hospital" survey, 53 use HealthLine's software.

The study assessed data from 5,462 hospitals across the country in 16 specialties from cancer to pediatrics. The "Honor Roll" is limited to hospitals that ranked high in at least six of the specialties and demonstrated unusual excellence.

"We are proud of our clients that were ranked as the nation's top healthcare organizations and medical providers in this year's Best Hospital survey," says HealthLine's CEO, Dan Littrell.

HealthLine's specialized software packages and consulting services assist our clients to meet their unique needs in physician credentialing, quality assurance, medical call centers and managed care.

"Our solutions have helped our clients improve access, direct consumers to the most appropriate level of care, build a strong consumer base, manage providers and quality, and ensure patient safety," Littrell says.

The standards for ranking in "Best Hospitals" are rigorous. Out of 5,462 hospitals only  hospitals, only 3 percent, are ranked.  Most are research facilities and military and veterans hospitals are not included.
