More than 50 HealthLine Systems' Clients Ranked "America's Best Hospitals" U.S News and World Report's 2007 Best Hospital Rankings and "Honor Roll" List Released

August 14, 2006, San Diego, CA— Three of the top 14 hospitals listed in the 2006 U.S. News and World Report's "Honor Roll" use one or more software systems developed by HealthLine Systems. Of the top 176 medical centers ranked in this year’s "America’s Best Hospital" survey, 50 use HealthLine's software.

The study assessed data from 5,189 hospitals across the country in 17 specialties from cancer to pediatrics. The "Honor Roll" is limited to hospitals that ranked high in at least six of the 16 Best Hospitals specialties and demonstrated unusual excellence.

The standards for ranking in "Best Hospitals" are rigorous. Out of 5,189 hospitals, only 3 percent, 176 in all, are ranked in one or more of the 16 specialties in this year's "America's Best Hospitals." And of those, just 14 qualified for the Honor Roll by ranking at or near the top in at least six specialties—a demonstration of broad expertise.
